A short distance from all of the city hustle and bustle just 20 minutess drive from the town centre of Hua Hin you will find the perfect retreat, a place to escape away from the over developed tourist areas, a Thai secret. It is a small paradise that local Thai people and in fact Thais from all over the country have a favourite place to retreat for the long weekend break. This special beautiful place is Pranburi in the province of Prachuap Kiri Khan. While the beaches of such holiday resorts as Phuket and Samui as well as Hua Hin have become so popular much of the landscape has undergone massive tourist development with high rise buildings and hotels popping up everywhere, Pranburi remains largely  un-spoiled by such development and a recent move passed by the local government means it will remain this way for the foreseeable future. The amazing beautiful beach is most often very quiet but there is plenty of local Thai tradition including Pranburi market which is an old style market where you can sample the many flavours of Thai food and also see traditional Thai dancers. There are plenty of restaurants and bars which cater for all-comers with both Thai food and European food available.  If you do prefer a more hectic lifestyle and night-life then a taxi into Hua Hin will give you all the night clubs and late night bars and music you want, amongst the many other attractions in Hua Hin including the walking street market in the evening and the Safari Park by day ( more details on the local travel page ).

Villa Kantana is situated just a stones throw from the beach front at this beautiful, un-spoiled location. Villa kantana is a modern building completed in 2009. It has been designed and built with the family in mind and has all the facilities you would expect from a luxury private rental villa in Thailand.

This popular location is built on just under half one rai ( approx 200m2 ) and the intuitive design makes it seem larger. The ground floor is largely open plan with full length sliding doors to the kitchen/Dinning area.

The front door welcomes you into the wooden decked floor area with reflective fish pools with water features and grassed garden with seating area to the left. Then patio doors to the left which open into the TV room.

The TV sitting room has Karaoke , sound system, PC, and leather corner sofa and coffee table and another great feature is the additional set of sliding doors opening directly onto the private swimming pool. The spacious front grassed garden area is accompanied by another small grassed area behind the swimming pool. The raised wooden decking at the foot of the swimming pool is perfect for soaking up the sun with its 4 built in folding sunbeds and  two giant parasols.

Walking past the TV room you will be delighted by the crystal clear water and green tiled swimming pool on the right. On the left side is the kitchen/dinning area with full length sliding doors which open entirely for an open plan view of the pool when dinning. This open plan spacious room has a staircase concealed by natural stunning hardwood slating leading up to the 5 bedrooms upstairs.

Next to the dinning room is the open plan relax massage room with desk, table, floor cushions and two massage/relax beds ( and the resident Makaw parrot named "Chawk" who speaks English and Thai. )

The house itself is totally unique. The dinning area and the relax room have a spacious airy feel and both open  directly onto the wooden pool decking. The modern design with rustic cement walls creates a mellow atmosphere perfect for both relaxing and partying. The building is two storey with further decking area on the first floor perfect for evening relaxation as is the roof terrace which provides awesome views of the mountains and sunset to the west and the sea and sunrise to the east.

This ideal family get away has modern unpainted walls with hardwood flooring in each of the bedrooms and TV room, wood decking outside and on the first terrace and polished stone and painted concrete floors to Kitchen/Dinning area and relax room.

The resident Manager and hostess are on duty for any requests including transport, food or any other special requests to ensure smooth running of the villa. The pool is cleaned daily as is the whole villa and the garden is maintained daily.
